with or without me, life is marvelous honey!

“What we call a home is merely any place that succeeds in making more consistently available to us the important truths which the wider world ignores, or which our distracted and irresolute selves have trouble holding onto. /.. / “What we seek, at the deepest level, is inwardly to resemble, rather than physically to possess, the objects and places that touch us through their beauty.” Alain de Botton, The Architecture of Happiness

Little bit flu, a bit autumn effect, mostly age accounting on this planet Earth or in other word birthday syndrome; I spent all weekend in and around house with a mood fluctuating  from depression to mania in a very short wave lengths.  Besides of heaven sent sweets, geranium and jasmine took care of me in the balcony. By chance, I was reading the book of Alain de Botton’s “Architecture of Happiness”, it is really cool and thought-provoking. What is the meaning of home for us? It’s structure, feeling, functionality, memory, beauty.. “…Because beauty is typically the result of a few qualities working in concert, it can take more to guarantee the appeal of a bridge or a house than strength alone./../ “We owe it to the fields that our houses will not be the inferiors of the virgin land they have replaced. We owe it to the worms and the trees that the building we cover them with will stand as promises of the highest and most intelligent kinds of happiness.” Alain de Botton, The Architecture of Happiness
